vocal.philharmony.online - vocals.resampled

vocal.philharmony.online - vocals.resampled is part of the project klassik-resampled and covers more than 20 hours of digitally produced recordings of vocal compositions from the Renaissance to classical modernism, of which many are audible here for the very first time. Occasionally other ensembles on this basis were able to perform scores that I had explored before. The experimental musicological approach tests unusual but historically plausible interpretations, for example with regard to sacred music, which until the 18th century was reserved for public worship almost exclusively for men and boys' voices. Especially in the renaissance music, various insztrumentations and section sizes are being tested in parallel interpretations. Another focus is solo or choral vocalises and solfeggios as textless singing also in the context of large symphonic works. Another focus is canons and fugues, e.g. from the canon of Felix Drasekes, preserved only as a manuscript, or Alban Berg's many unpublished Konreappest works of study.
