Georg Anton Benda (1722-1795)

Cantata non*L546 "Festo Nativitatis Serenissimi" First recording based on the manuscript in the Library of the augustinian monastry Gotha "C XXX 43"

(*"non-L546" means, that in the Worklist done by Lorenz ("L") there is only one Cantata of Benda mentioned on the same text which is found as handwritten copy in the "Nachlass" of C.P.E.Bach. This might provoke the Assumption the manuscript in Gotha based on the same Text might also be the same composition. This is definitly not the case. But it seem not yet to be mentioned anywhere else, that there two different Cantata compositions on this Text by Benda. That is why it must be mentioned here)
